Library Policies

The Daniel Library offers equipment you can check out, available at the Information Desk located on the first floor. Equipment must be checked out and returned to the Information Desk. 

The following equipment is available to current Citadel students, faculty, and staff:

• Laptops( Library use only)*
• GoPros (and mounts)*
• Camcorders*
• Digital Recorders*
• Google Cardboard Glasses
• TI-Nspire CX Calculators
• Disposable earbuds
• Tripods

Equipment lending is subject to the Library’s general Circulation Policies; you must review these policies, in addition to those found here, prior to checking out equipment. Any personal data left on the equipment (files, documents, images, etc.) will be erased after its return. The Library is not responsible for the loss of personal data.

* Please save all work and media on an external hard drive device prior to returning the equipment to the library. The Library's technology checkout devices are re-imaged and/or wiped frequently, and material saved on devices cannot be retrieved.

Overdue Items

It is the patron's responsibility to return items by the designated due time. Fines will accrue based on the check out length of the equipment. See the below table for fines. 

A replacement fee will be assessed for equipment that has not been returned within 7 days of the due date and time. 

Damaged Items

The cost for repair will be determined by Daniel Library personnel for each piece of equipment or individual component that is returned in damaged condition. The cost for repair will be assessed to the borrower. For equipment or components that are damaged beyond repair, the replacement cost for the item will be assessed to the borrower. Borrowers should not troubleshoot equipment. Please contact Daniel Library if you are having problems.
