CERRA'S mission is to provide collaborative leadership in the recruitment, retention, and advancement of outstanding educators for all children in South Carolina.

SCATE is a state professional organization affiliated with the Association of Teacher Education (ATE). Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for individual professional growth for all persons concerned with teacher education and promote high standards for the teaching profession through its policies and practices.

The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) oversees K-12 public education in the state. Their mission is to ensure that every student in South Carolina receives an education that meets their individual needs, while also preparing them to be contributing members of society. They work closely with students, parents, teachers, staff, school districts, government officials, and the media to facilitate the best possible education for South Carolina’s students.

The South Carolina Middle School Association will identify, promote and disseminate best practices in middle level education, while engaging all parties responsible for meeting the unique needs of the young adolescent.

StudySC is a website that provides online content to support South Carolina-specific curriculum standards. StudySC, created by the South Carolina State Library, makes available a student-friendly environment arranged by grade level and by subject area where students can find the information they need fast.

The mission of SCAPT shall be to advance the psychosocial development and mental health of all people through play and play therapy.

South Carolina Counseling Association is an educational and charitable organization which has established itself as a leader in serving the diversity of helping professions that exist in South Carolina.

They represent school leaders in the General Assembly, State Board of Education, and other entities whose decisions affect public education in South Carolina.
