Helpful Tips!
Books & Review Articles
- While many of these are published in Peer-Review publications, they are not adequate sources to use as an official reference in your project/paper.
- They are very helpful in finding additional resources that COULD BE USED as scholarly references.
- Look for Book Reviews, Books (general and specific) on your topic, and Bibliographies.
Full-Text Articles
- Many of our databases provide full-text access to many articles.
- If we don't have it, first check Google Scholar to see if a free PDF is available online.
- Google Scholar doesn't have it? Make an InterLibrary Loan Request. Articles can be delivered as soon as the day of the request.
Databases
- USE MORE THAN ONE DATABASE. We are all guilty of relying on one tried-and-true database. Using different databases will increase your chance of finding relevant articles.
